We recently bought each other Humankind for Christmas and, though I really love the easy playability for entry-level/newbie 4X strategy game players, I didn't like how the AI was constantly leading to war (along with other bugs that are still being fixed in the game). I also liked how, if he wanted, he could forgo always having to have conflict with others and instead resolve it through decisions while growing his empire. I grew up playing Sims 2 - Sims 4 and loved the interactive and creative aspect of the game. As he was creating his own character and making all of these new cultural adjustments (I got him the Royal Edition bc I love him haha) I noticed how similar it was to playing Sims. However, something struck me when I took the time to watch him play CK3 recently when I usually just play my own games alongside him. I didn't really like the graphics at the time and found the gameplay to be really difficult to understand and feel engaged by.
